In case you've never noticed before, when you open a magazine, newspaper, or even some Web-based news websites from renowned news agencies like The Washington Post, New York Times, Reuters, and so on, the pages with lots of images are all aligned in a certain matter.
The first image is aligned to the left, the second to the right, and then each photo is aligned alternatively left, and then right.
This is because text will be more easier to read, and neither the left or right side of the page will be over-balanced with graphical data, imagery, or color.
This very same principle is at the core of the jQuery Image Auto Place plugin, which allows developers to automatically align images in such a manner inside a selected container.
Demos and usage instructions are included with the download package.
